Choosing Between Juvederm, Restylane and Sculptra at Suncare Medspa
Here is a brief primer on each of the fillers we offer:

JUVÉDERM
The JUVÉDERM family of fillers is created using a Hyaluronic Acid base, which means beyond immediately adding volume, it also delivers lasting hydration. This makes it perfect as a lip filler option for plumper, smoother lips. Different formulations of JUVÉDERM can be used to address different parts of the face, depending on the "thickness" of volume required. The lips for instance require a thinner consistency of foundation than the cheeks. The smoothness of the JUVÉDERM formulation makes it a favorite for addressing finer lines and wrinkles thanks to the way it more evenly disperses even into tight areas of tissue.

Restylane
The Restylane line of fillers likewise has Hyaluronic Acid as the main ingredient, which offers the additional benefit of drawing more moisture to the treated area. Results will be seen instantly after treatment. Compared to JUVÉDERM, the consistency of Restylane can be more "granular" and cohesive, which is a benefit when you want to ensure the injected volume does not quickly dissipate, and when you desire to build more volume in an area such as the middle of the face. Like JUVÉDERM, Restylane comes in different consistencies to address different concerns.

Sculptra
The main ingredient in Sculptra is injectable poly-L-lactic acid. Unlike most fillers, which simply add volume to the skin, Sculptra results are somewhat less immediate but build over time by stimulating the skin's own collagen production. Rather than merely addressing the symptom of loose skin, for example, Sculptra can directly address the underlying lack of collagen. Sculptra also lasts much longer. While fillers can last 6 months to a year, Sculptra results last around two years, with some patients still seeing results 5 years down the line.
